Qty 1Fostex L469

Fostex L469

A select vintage Fostex professional driver. Period Fostex literature places the L469 in its Laboratory Series for sound reinforcement, discotheque and studio-monitor applications. The L-series used edgewound voice coils on epoxy-mica bobbins for durability and power handling. The L469 is a 40 cm class driver rated 400 W (music), with a 10 cm copper voice coil and dual-spider construction intended for demanding high-power and low-frequency use.

Unidentified professional 12-inch drivers

Unidentified Professional 12" Drivers

Qty 11   •   8Ω markings   •   Individually tested & working

These heavy-duty professional 12-inch drivers have unusually large 4-inch voice coils. I acquired them around 1997–98 through AVHQ in Los Angeles after they were presented as an alternative to JBL professional drivers. I was skeptical, listened to them, and found them exceptionally musical. I now think they are particularly good guitar speakers.

The manufacturer remains unidentified. Rather than guess at an origin or model, the collection documents exactly what is known from the speakers and their markings.
